PHOTOGRAPHING AN APPLICANT

DEFINITION
Every application for a driver's license and/or identification card (whereby a credential is issued as a result of such application) shall contain the photograph of the applicant.
REQUIREMENT
- An applicant will not be photographed when it is obvious he is purposely altering his appearance in an effort which would misguide/misrepresent his identity.
- An applicant will not be considered to be misrepresenting his identity based on the applicant's makeup, clothing or accessories not matching the traditional expectations of an applicant's gender. Makeup is defined as regular everyday cosmetics used by an applicant, regardless of gender, where it is the intent to highlight natural beauty and/or hide blemishes or flaws.
- The photograph may be taken with or without prescription glasses, regardless of the restriction.
- An applicant may not wear dark glasses or sunglasses for the photograph.
