EFFECTIVE AUGUST 31, 2009, ALL APPLICABLE EMPLOYEES THAT ARE NOT EXEMPT AND HAVE NOT COMPLETED CETP TRAINING WILL NOT BE ABLE TO RENEW THEIR CARDS OF COMPETENCY. AS OF NOVEMBER 1, 2016, THERE WAS AN AMENDMENT TO THE L.P. GAS COMMISSION RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR ALL PROPANE PERMIT HOLDERS. PROPANE PERMIT HOLDERS ARE REQUIRED TO PAY NO LESS THAN $150.00. CLASS 6X - YOU ARE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT A LIST OF ALL LOCATIONS WITH COMPLETE ADDRESSES AND STORE NUMBERS ALONG WITH YOUR PERMIT RENEWAL. THE PERMIT RENEWAL IS $150.00 FOR EACH LOCATION

CLASSES 1, 4, AND 6 PERMIT HOLDERS ARE REQUIRED TO PAY THE MARKET DEVELOPMENT ASSESSMENT. PLEASE SEE YOUR RENEWAL FORMS FOR INSTRUCTIONS.
AS A REMINDER TO ALL NEW APPLICANTS AND SUPPLIERS, Application requests shall be ADMINSTRATIVELY GRANTED by the office of the Director upon completion of ALL Commission requirements as set forth in the Louisiana Administrative Code, Title 55, and the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950, as amended. Requirements vary by permit class but include submission of a formal application, permit fee, filing fee, certificate of insurance on approved proprietary form, and may include employee certification, sketch of installations, and/or inspections of transport vehicles. Under the authority of the Director, the applicant may engage in the specified L.P. Gas business immediately as a licensed permit holder with the Commission. The application process is finalized by the Commission ratifying the permit at their first subsequent meeting after the applicant has completed all necessary requirements.

        FIRE: Southern LP Gas, Many, reported a fire that destroyed the residence of Patricia Carpenter, Natchez, LA. Cause of fire reported as tree limb fell on tank and broke the pigtail. No injuries or product loss reported
        FIRE: Herring Gas Company of LA, Clinton, reported a fire that destroyed the residence of Kitty Johnson, St. Francisville, LA. Cause of fire reported as cooking or using the stove for heat, and ignited something next to the stove. No product loss reported. One fatality reported.
        FIRE: Herring Gas Company of LA, Ferriday, reported a fire that destroyed the residence of Brad Lipsey, Monterey, LA. Cause of fire reported as electrical. No injuries or product loss reported
