The Liquefied Petroleum Gas Commission continued its regular meeting Thursday, February 27, 2002 at 1723 Dallas Drive, Suite A, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The meeting was called to order by the Chairman with the following members present:

FIRES AND ACCIDENTS

There are no related fires or accidents to report.

Several dealers reported nine unrelated fires and three accidents. The fires destroyed six homes, one mobile home, one business, and damaged one mobile home. The cause of the fires are believed to be electrical problems, one is under investigation, a chimney fire and the others unknown. There was no loss of product and a fatality with no other injuries were reported.

Several dealers reported three accidents occurred when their transport backed into another vehicle, a vehicle lost control on icy roads striking the dealer’s vehicle, and a vehicle pulled in front of the dealer’s vehicle causing the dealer’s vehicle to strike another vehicle. There was no loss of product and injuries were reported.

      Ferrellgas LP reported a 1964 Best tank, 150 gallon, serial #29698 located at 1585 River Rd in Boyce, LA condemned as it was severely scorched in a fire.
